Phil has worked in financial leadership roles for over 25 years with 10 of those years functioning as a Controller. He has two Masters degrees (one in Accounting & Financial Management and the other in Computer Information Systems).
Phil has worked for large, multinational corporations, governmental departments, and small privately-held firms. “This gives me a wide range of experience that enables me to determine which techniques and processes work best for a given situation. And, more importantly, what conditions to avoid.”
Phil has experience with tax submission and preparation for companies and individuals. Accounting Software expertise includes QuickBooks, Peachtree, and Open Systems Accounting (OSAS; operating within a UNIX environment).
His experience also includes preparation of Financial Statements, Health and Business Insurance applications, Workers’ Compensation Group applications, Loan applications for capital projects and equipment. “My experience includes the complete management spectrum. Financial management and best practices are not independent functions, and overlooking either of these can adversely affect profits.”
Phil is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
Phil has over 8 years teaching Accounting and Computer Applications at a national university, both in a classroom setting and online. He is able to conduct seminars and develop training for the specific needs of a company. “Teaching at the University level gives me a great opportunity to develop talent and work with students that are very diverse in age, culture, and backgrounds.”
